Badd Jaqaman Museum
The Badd Jaqaman Museum ( Arabic متحف بد جقمان, DMG Matḥaf Badd Ǧaqamān , also known as the Al-Badd Museum) is a themed museum in the city of Bethlehem in the West Bank , which is dedicated to the production and use of olive oil .

The Olive Oil Museum is located in the old town of Bethlehem on Fawagreh Street, a cross street from Sternstrasse . It is in a historic building from the 18th-19th centuries. Century, in which rooms of different functions are arranged around an inner courtyard. In preparation for the jubilee year 2000, the building was renovated from 1998 to 2000, and another renovation took place in 2014.
Surname
"Badd" is an Arabic name for a traditional oil mill. Dschaqaman is the name of the family who own the museum building and who used to run such an oil mill themselves.
Exhibits
The ethnographic and archaeological artifacts on display show the process of olive oil production as well as the storage of olive oil and its uses for lamps, medicines, food, soap and cosmetics, among other things.
A prominent exhibit is the eponymous oil mill , consisting of a stone substructure with a recess and a millstone running around it, which was moved by a donkey or mule running around the mill. The olives were crushed through the millstone into a paste from which the oil could then be extracted.
