Historic bathing house in Bad Wörishofen

The historic bathing house in the town of Bad Wörishofen , in the Unterallgäu district ( Bavaria ), was built in 1890 on the instructions of Pastor Sebastian Kneipp . Previously, Kneipp's cold water applications were carried out in the rectory 's laundry room , which, however, became too small over time. Originally the bathing house stood in the middle of the cross garden of the monastery in Bad Wörishofen. Master builder A. Schreiegg added a bathroom to the polygonal bathing house in the style of the 18th century on the west side. Later, in 1924, the building was moved and rebuilt as a replica in the garden of the house at Hartenthaler Straße 10. In 2009 the bathing house was moved again and has been in the city garden on Untere Mühlstrasse ever since.

The listed bathhouse consists of a pavilion-like hexagonal building with a profiled wooden cornice. The small building is covered with a tent roof . A rectangular gable roof extension with a door adjoins the west side. Another replica of the historic bath house was built next to the old bath house in 1971 .
