Bath bag

A water- tight sack for the dry transport of objects while swimming (primarily in rivers) is referred to as a bathing bag , swimming bag or water bag . In terms of functionality, it is comparable to the raft sack that was previously used for military purposes . Waterproof packsacks, such as those used by white water rafters, are constructed in a similar manner. In addition, cave explorers use so-called grinding bags , which are also resistant to abrasion and sharp edges.

In regions where the Flußschwimmen is popular (z. B. the Rhine swimming in Basel ) also naturalized more names, such as the winding fish .

Rescue organizations warn against attaching bathing bags to the body, as the bathing bag can get caught in obstacles. The bathing bag is also a means of transport and not a swimming aid , because you have to be able to swim safely in the respective body of water without a buoyancy device.
