The Badische Tabakmanufaktur Roth-Händle GmbH (BTM) was a German tobacco manufacturer whose origins were in the tobacco factory founded by Jules Schaller in Strasbourg-Neudorf in 1871 and which sold the cigarettes under the Roth-Händle brand , later also as Reval .

In 1890 the tobacco factory founded by Jules Schaller in 1871 became the Elsässische Tabakmanufaktur AG . In 1919 the factory in Strasbourg-Neudorf was confiscated by France. The main shareholders reacted by transferring production to 1920 in Frankfurt / M. founded Badische Tabakmanufaktur Roth-Händle GmbH . After 50 years of production in Strasbourg, the plant was relocated to Lahr / Black Forest . In 1922, the Badische Tabakmanufaktur Roth-Händle GmbH was converted into a stock corporation.

From 1957 the Reemtsma cigarette factories were majority owners and completely took over BTM in 1985, which in 1989 necessitated a relocation of Reval production to Berlin.

The factory in Lahr was closed in March 2007. BTM was one of the main buyers of tobacco leaves in southern Baden, most recently employed around 275 people and mainly produced plug-in cigarettes , which in the end were no longer in demand due to the lack of tax breaks .
