Badminton at the West Asian Games

At the West Asian Games, badminton is one of those sports that were not always on the program of the Games. At the premiere of the games in 1997, two men's disciplines were in the competition program. In 2002 and 2005 badminton was not represented. In the preliminary program for the 2005 Games, however, abadminton tournament called The 3rd West Asian Games Iran Satellite took place from October 1st to 4th, 2005.
