Bahattin Gemici

Bahattin Gemici (* 1954 in Ankara ) is a teacher and writer of Turkish origin living in Germany.

Gemici came to Germany in 1976. He worked as a teacher in Herten. His literary work includes poems, short stories and fairy tales. Gemici writes in Turkish. Two volumes of poetry have also been published in German translation. The author's poems were broadcast in the WDR radio series “Lyrik in NRW”, short stories in “Mitmenschen”. Also published numerous articles in anthologies (German & Turkish) and Turkish-language school books.

Gemici is a member of the German Writers' Association and has received several literary awards.
