The Holsteinische Schweiz station on the Kellersee on the Malente-Gremsmühlen-Lütjenburg railway in Schleswig-Holstein was opened on May 25, 1890. The entire railway line was built at the instigation of the businessman Johannes Janus. He ran the Hotel Holsteinische Schweiz , after which the train station was named.

Track 1 had a platform roof that was dismantled in 1896 in order to rebuild it at the Plön Prinzenbahnhof (correct: Plön parking station). This canopy has stood at Plön train station since 1924.

Regular passenger traffic on the Malente-Gremsmühlen - Lütjenburg route was discontinued on May 29, 1976. With the end of military traffic, the line and with it the Holsteinische Schweiz train station were closed in 1996.
