Station melody
In the period from July 14, 2004 to April 14, 2008, an excerpt from Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah was used as the station melody . This title is used, among other things, in the Disney film Song of the South from 1946. The selection of this title is intended to express the connection between the train station (i.e. spatial proximity) and the Tokyo Disney Resort . On April 15, 2008, the 25th anniversary of the resort's opening, the title was replaced by an excerpt from The dream goes on . This title was composed and written as part of the resort's 25th anniversary celebrations. The use of this melody as a station melody is limited to the anniversary year.
use
In 2017, the station was used by an average of 79,063 passengers per day, making it 57th out of over 900 on the list of the most frequently used stations of the JR East in 2017. The majority of the passengers are visitors to the nearby Tokyo Disney Resort .
