The Nishi-Ōyama Station ( Jap. 西大山駅 , Nishi-Ōyama-eki ) is located in the city of Ibusuki in the prefecture of Kagoshima in southern Japanese island of Kyushu .
The station is the southernmost station in Japan.
He has a platform with one track and no reception building . As the station is unmanned and has no ticket barriers, the driver of the stopping trains collects the fare using the one-man-operation system ( Japanese ワ ン マ ン , wan-man ). The nearby train station Yamakawa is the southernmost manned station in Japan.
