Panevėžys railway station
The station Panevezys ( lithuanian Panevėžio geležinkelio stotis ) is the station of nordlitauischen city Panevezys (Address: S. Kerbedžio g. 9). It belongs to the Lithuanian railway company AB “ Lietuvos Gelezinkeliai ”, the department of the Šiauliai region .
It is located on the Radviliškis - Daugavpils railway to Latvia . Trains run from Šiauliai to Rokiškis .
This is where the narrow-gauge museum narrow -gauge railway Panevėžys – Rubikiai ( Lithuanian Aukštaitijos siaurasis gelžinkelis ) begins , the rest of the railway to Anykščiai, which opened on November 11, 1895 from Švenčionėliai to Pastovai and extended in 1898 to Panevėžys .
On September 26, 2014, the renovated station section of the narrow-gauge railway was reopened. It was repaired based on photos of the old train station from 1905.
