The former train station Sæby was in the Danish town of Sæby and was a train station of Fjerritslev – Frederikshavn Jernbane (FFJ).

history

Sæby station was opened on September 18, 1899 on the Fjerritslev – Frederikshavn (Sæbybanen) line of Fjerritslev – Frederikshavn Jernbane (FFJ) between Nørresundby and Frederikshavn . The station was the starting point for a port railway and had a restaurant. The station building designed by the architect Thomas Arboe was a two-story red brick building.

In 1962, the station became the end point of Sæbybane when the section between Sæby and Frederikshavn was closed. On March 31, 1968, the station was completely closed when the remaining part of Sæbybane between Nørresundby and Sæby was closed.

The station building has meanwhile been torn down, a warehouse of the former "Det danske gødnings-kompagni" has been partially preserved. The customs chamber building from this period has also been preserved and is used as a bus station and residential building.
