Shin-Takaoka ( Japanese 新 高 岡 駅 , Shin-Takaoka-eki ) is a train station of the West Japan Railway Company (JR West) on the Japanese island of Honshū . It is located south of the city of Takaoka in Toyama Prefecture at the intersection of the Hokuriku Shinkansen with the Johana Line . It opened on March 14, 2015 as part of the Hokuriku Shinkansen extension from Nagano to Kanazawa .
