Takaoka ( Japanese 高 岡 市 , - shi ) is the second largest city in Toyama Prefecture on Honshū , the main island of Japan , after Toyama .

geography

To the west of Takaoka is Mount Futagami . The main part of Takaoka's urban area is an extensive plain, which is crossed by the Oyabe and Sho Rivers . The city center lies inland, bordering the Toyama -Küste in the north where the Fushiki - port is located.
