Takaoka ( Japanese 高 岡 駅 , Takaoka-eki ) is a station of the West Japan Railway Company (JR West) and the Ainokaze Toyama Tetsudō in the city of Takaoka ( Toyama Prefecture , Japanese island of Honshū ). It is located at the intersection of the Ainokaze-Toyama railway line (formerly Hokuriku main line ) with the Jōhana line and the Himi line . Since the opening of the Hokuriku Shinkansen in 2015, long-distance trains have only run from Shin-Takaoka station, about 1.6 km to the south .
