The railway line Brno hlavní nádraží – Brno-Černovice ("Komárovská spojka") is an inner-city connecting railway in the Czech city of Brno ( Brno ). It enables direct train runs from Brno hlavní nádraží to the Brno – Vlárský průsmyk railway line , bypassing Brno dolní nádraží .
history
The railway line Brno – Vlárský průsmyk ("Wlara Railway") has its nominal starting point in the Brno dolní nádraží station (formerly Brno Rossitz station), which today only serves goods traffic. Direct train runs from Brno hlavní nádraží (Brno Central Station) were once only possible via Brno- Židenice ( Brno Schimitz ), whereby the direction of travel had to be changed twice. The Czechoslovak State Railways (ČSD) therefore built a single-track connecting line from Brno hlavní nádraží in the mid-1920s, which joins the previous Wlara line at Brno-Černovice. The line was opened on May 15, 1927. It has been electrified since October 4, 1996.
In the 2012 annual timetable, the connecting line will be used every two hours by passenger and express trains on the Brno – Uherské Hradiště route.
