The railway Carson-Sweden is a railway line in Maine ( United States ). It is 11.76 kilometers long. The standard gauge line has been closed and dismantled.

After the Aroostook Valley Railroad (AVR) had completed their route from Presque Isle to Washburn , they planned in 1911 an extension of this route north to Sweden . It was built that same year and scheduled traffic to Woodland began on December 9th. The last construction work on the section to Sweden dragged on until January 25, 1912. At the end of 1912, a branch to West Caribou was built in Carson, but it became part of the main line. The Carson – Sweden section became the Sweden Branch . Like the rest of the route network, the route to Sweden was electrified with 1200 volts direct current.

In 1932 the Canadian Pacific Railway acquired the AVR and with it the route to Sweden, but the Aroostook Valley was still in charge of operations. Passenger traffic ended on August 7, 1946, after which the electrical systems were also dismantled. The railway company had already acquired diesel locomotives for freight transport the year before. 1978 also ended the freight traffic on the Sweden Branch and the line was closed.
