The Langres – Andilly railway between Langres and Andilly-en-Bassigny is a standard-gauge , single-track , non-electrified railway line in the Haute-Marne department in France . It is still there, not dismantled or downgraded, but is no longer used.

history

On July 31, 1879, the building permit for this route was granted. The concessionaire was initially the state rescue company Chemins de fer de l'État , which had been founded the year before to intercept insolvent railway companies and to maintain traffic on the affected routes. Practically at the same time, one week after the law was published, the line went into operation on September 27, 1881 at the same time as six other lines.

In 1883 this line went to the Chemin de fer de l'Est railway company , which also operated the two adjacent lines. From the beginning, this route was managed by EST.

Passenger traffic ceased on May 28, 1988.
