Naomaohu – Hongliuhe railway line
The Naomaohu – Hongliuhe railway is a railway line in the Xinjiang Autonomous Region in the People's Republic of China . It is used exclusively for freight traffic .
Geographical location
Naomaohu (淖毛湖镇) is a large village in the district of Yiwu County , Hongliuhe located at Km 1153 railway Lanzhou-Urumqi .
history
The planning and construction of the Naomaohu – Hongliuhe line was carried out by the Hangnaosan railway company , which is a subsidiary of the Xinjiang Guanghui Industry energy company . The line went into operation on January 1, 2019.

The route has a length of 435 km. The cost of construction came to 10.8 billion renminbi (1.4 billion euros ).
traffic
The route mainly opens up hard coal mines . The aim is to operate trains that can carry 10,000 t . 150 million tons of coal are to be shipped annually.
