Baiba broka
Baiba Broka (born October 2, 1975 in Madona , Latvian SSR ) is a Latvian politician of the National Association party . In 2014 she became Minister of Justice.
biography
She received her PhD from the University of Latvia in 2000 and was then employed at the Faculty of Law. When her fellow student Gaidis Bērziņš became Minister of Justice, Broka was appointed Parliamentary Secretary. She was an advisor to several justice ministers and since 2008 she has been on the board of an international legal institute in Rome ( UNIDROIT ). On January 22, 2014, she became Minister of Justice in the Straujuma cabinet , but submitted her resignation on July 28.
