Baisiepen is a district in the Remscheid-Süd district in the Bergisch city of Remscheid in North Rhine-Westphalia .
history
The court was first mentioned in a document in 1369 under the name "Beysiepen", which means something like "at the Siepen " and should refer to the small stream.
Location and description
The Hofschaft extends in a valley between Struck and Bökerhöhe . The water of the same name "Baisiepen" flows into the Tenter Bach near the motorway.
Essentially, it is an area with predominantly residential development. At the Siepen there is a large nature reserve with individual occurrences of rare plants.
Infrastructure
Craft businesses and artists are located in Baisiepen, as well as an architecture office and a country restaurant with bowling alleys. There is also a tennis facility here. The district is served by the urban bus route 675.
