The Baldwin Rocks are rocky outcrops to the north of David Island off the coast of Queen Marie Land in East Antarctica . They loom 5 miles northwest of Watson Bluff .
Participants of the Australasian Antarctic Expedition (1911-1914) under the direction of the Australian polar explorer Douglas Mawson mapped this formation. Mawson named it after the Australian astronomer Joseph Mason Baldwin (1878–1945).
