Ballin (unit)

The ballin , or the bucket, was a measure of volume in Greenland . The measure was used for bubbles from whales and seals .

North Greenland
  • 1 Ballin = 1 ½ beer tonnes (Danish) = 197 liters
South Greenland
  • 1 Ballin = 1 ⅓ beer barrel (Danish) = 175 liters
