Baloi (also Baato Baloi, Boloi, Loi or Rebu) is a Bantu language spoken by around 20,000 people (2002 census) in the Democratic Republic of the Congo . It is in the province of Equateur to the city Bomongo common.

classification

Baloi is a northwest Bantu language and belongs to the Bangi-Ntomba group , which is classified as Guthrie Zone C40. Within the language group, it becomes the Ngiri languages alongside the Libinza , Likila , and Ndobo languages.

It has the dialects Dzamba (Jamba), Loi, Makutu and Mampoko. Baloi is similar to the Likila and Ndobo languages .
