Ban Biao

Ban Biao ( Chinese  班彪 , Pinyin Bān Biāo , W.-G. Pan Piao ; * 3 AD ; † 54 ) was a Chinese historian and official of the Han dynasty .

He began the Book of the Han Dynasty , a historical work about the Western Han Dynasty , which was continued after his death by his eldest son Ban Gu and finally completed by his daughter Ban Zhao .
