Holzklapper Opera

Wooden clapper opera or Bangzi Opera ( Chinese  梆子腔 , Pinyin bāngziqiāng , English Bangzi opera / clapper opera , even 梆子戏 , bāngzixì ) is a collective term for a group of Chinese local operas with the wooden rattle ( 梆子 , Bangzi ) - a percussion instrument from two hardwood pieces of different thickness struck against each other - are accompanied. They are located in different Chinese provinces. The Jin opera or Shanxi opera ( 晉劇  /  晋剧 , Jìnjù ) in the Chinese province of Shanxi is one of them, as well as the local opera genres Hebei bangzi 河北 梆子 ( Hebei ), Yuju 豫剧 ( Henan ) and Qinqiang 秦腔 ( Shaanxi ).
