The Bank EEK AG is a Swiss regional bank based in Bern . It was founded in 1821 as a resident savings fund for the district of Bern in the form of a cooperative and converted into a stock corporation in 1996 . At the same time as the change in legal form, the bank adopted a group structure in which the former Bern residents' savings bank was renamed the EEK Beteiligungen cooperative and has since served as the holding company of the subsidiaries Bank EEK AG and EEK Immobilien AG .

Bank EEK's field of activity has traditionally been in retail banking , mortgage lending , private banking and banking with small and medium-sized companies . Bank EEK employs 40 people and had total assets of 1.64 billion Swiss francs at the end of 2019.
