The Bank Gutenberg AG is a Swiss private bank based in Zurich . It employs 20 people and at the end of 2012 had total assets of 204.0 million Swiss francs. Bank Gutenberg AG is 100% owned by Gutenberg Group AG, which manages client assets of 1.5 billion Swiss francs. The main activities of the bank include classic account and custody account management, proactive investment advice for private customers, comprehensive support for external asset managers and institutional customers, securities, foreign exchange and money market trading as well as the provision of financing solutions.
history
The bank was founded in 2010 and emerged from the securities dealer Cat Brokerage AG . Its roots, in turn, lie in Cat Finance AG , founded in 1988 , a broker for Japanese and Asian securities. Through various takeovers, Cat Finance entered asset management in 2000 and, after restructuring the business areas, was renamed the Cat Group in 2006 .
In 2010, Cat Brokerage AG was converted into a bank as a subsidiary of the Cat Group and renamed Bank Gutenberg AG . As part of a reorganization, the name was changed from Cat Group AG to Gutenberg Group AG in 2012 and various investments were sold. Today the Gutenberg Group still consists of the Gutenberg Group AG, the Bank Gutenberg AG and the Gutenberg Management AG. The stock exchange symbol of the Gutenberg Group AG was adjusted with the change of the company name to "GUT". Furthermore, as of mid-2013, the group has four minority interests in The Bernina Trust Company Ltd., Endeavor Financial Ltd. and AW Wealth Management Limited.
