The Bank of St. Helena is the only credit institution in the British overseas territory of St. Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha . Its headquarters are in Jamestown on the island of St. Helena .
In addition to its head office, the bank also has a branch in Georgetown on Ascension . It offers all the services of a commercial bank . The services are also available to the residents of Tristan da Cunha , but the island does not have its own branch.

The bank was founded in April 2004 on the basis of the Banking Ordinance 2003 and the Bank of St Helena Ordinance 2003 . She took over all tasks of two independent savings banks , the Government Savings Bank (St. Helena) and the Ascension Island Savings Bank . The Bank of St. Helena has been a stock corporation since April 2013 .
