from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The bank business economist is a professional training for employees of credit institutions and financial service companies who, in addition to the professional qualification as bank clerk, have also completed training to become a banking specialist . The advanced training qualification is awarded directly after a successful examination by various educational institutions in the financial sector. It is a non-legally regulated advanced training course and therefore neither a university degree nor a professional qualification with a final examination from a public body, such as the Chamber of Industry and Commerce or the Chamber of Crafts .

The training usually takes place part-time and is extra-occupational. With the support of the employer, this training can often be completed full-time, so that the workload of around 500 hours can be worked through within a few months.

After successfully completing the advanced training examination to become a banking economist, some private (technical) universities offer the opportunity to take up a bachelor's degree .
