Barış Türkmen (born August 12, 1993 in Izmir ) is a Turkish football goalkeeper.

Player career

Türkmen started in 2005 in the youth department of Gümüşordu Izmir , the second team of Altınordu Izmir , with club football. In 2007 he moved to Bucaspor's youth department . Here he received a professional contract in 2008, but only played for the club's reserve team for two years. In the summer of 2010, he hired the amateur club Yeni Bornovaspor and played here for two seasons.

For the 2012/13 season, Türkmen moved to the fourth division Altınordu Izmir. In his first season he stayed behind Ramazan Üstündağ substitute goalkeeper and represented him in three games. His club managed this season as a fourth division champion, the direct promotion to the TFF 2nd Lig . Also in the 3rd division he acted with his teammate Cihan Topaloğlu as a replacement for Üstündağ. After he was only autumn champion with his club, he also reached the third division championship two game days before the end of the season. As a result, Altınordu returned to the TFF 1st Lig , the second highest Turkish league, after a 24-year absence .

For the 2014/15 season he was loaned to the fourth division Balçova Yaşamspor .

National team

Türkmen completed one game each for the Turkish U-15, U-16 and U-18 national teams.
