FBM Makina Balçova Yaşamspor or FBM Yaşamspor is a Turkish football club from Balçova , a district of the western Turkish port city of Izmir . It was founded in 2012 under the name Balçova Belediyespor as a sports club of the Balçovas district administration, sold in the summer of 2014 and then renamed to its current name. The team plays their home games in the Buca Arena .

founding

In the summer of 2012, the Balçova district administration bought its competition and naming rights from the amateur club Fahrettin Altay SK and then took part in the competition with their newly established operating team Balçova Belediyespor .

Promotion to professional football

After the club was founded, the club took part in the Boelgesel Amatoer Lig , the highest Turkish amateur league. In his season in this league Balçova Belediyespor finished them as champions and rose for the first time in his club history in the TFF 3rd Lig . This rise also meant the club's first participation in Turkish professional football.

The club was sold in the summer of 2014. The new owners named the association Fabrika Bakım Montaj Balçova Yaşamspor ( FBM Balçova Yaşamspor for short ).

In the fourth division season 2014/15 the team missed the relegation of the TFF 3rd Lig and was relegated to the Boelgesel Amatoer Lig.
