Barbara Feldmann (born April 28, 1963 in Vienna ) is an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ). From November 2003 to November 2015 she was a member of the State Parliament and a member of the Vienna City Council .

education and profession

Barbara Feldmann graduated from a secondary school in 1982 . In 1984 she completed an apprenticeship as an insurance clerk, in 1986 an apprenticeship as an insurance broker. She completed her studies in commercial science at the Vienna University of Economics and Business in 1993 with a master's degree.

Barbara Feldmann founded Majella VersicherungsvermittlungsgsmbH in 1986, which she has been managing director since it was founded. From 1990 to 1993 she worked in the design, production, marketing and sales of the company DOB (women's clothing), in 1993 she concluded a franchise contract with Marks & Spencer Austria, after which she worked in various areas for Marks & Spencer until 1995. Between 1993 and 1994 Feldmann opened three Marks & Spencer branches in Vienna and between 1995 and 1998 took over the management of Marks & Spencer Austria. After the sale of Marks & Spencer to a group of investors, Feldmann took over the management of APA Central Beteiligungsgmbh until 2000. Germany and has been managing director of APA Central Beteiligungsgmbh since 2001. Austria. She was also involved in consulting and in the start-up of PTI Telecom Germany.

She has been a member of the supervisory board of Novomatic since 2014 and of the German subsidiary Löwen Entertainment since 2017 .

politics

Feldmann first stood in 2001 for the Vienna ÖVP in the state and municipal council elections. On November 26th, 2003 she succeeded Johannes Hahn after his election to the city council as a member of the state parliament and local council.

Private

Barbara Feldmann has two children.
