Löwen Entertainment GmbH is a German manufacturer of gaming machines with headquarters and production facilities in Bingen am Rhein as well as 17 nationwide branches. The company employs over 650 people, making it one of the largest commercial employers in the Mainz-Bingen region . The turnover in 2015 was around 293 million euros. Löwen Entertainment GmbH has been part of the Austrian Novomatic Group since autumn 2003 .

Business areas

In addition to the well-known video multigamblers that are widespread in amusement arcades and restaurants , as well as the classic money-winning game devices with reels or discs, Löwen is the market leader in electronic darts . In addition, the company offers a tournament kicker , Löwen Soccer , which was used, for example, in the nationwide Asbach Kicker Cup 2008.

The former arcade division was also sold in the same year: today's Löwen Play is one of the market leaders in its segment.

NSM-Löwen was founded in Braunschweig in 1949 by the entrepreneurs Nack, Schulze and Menke. The lion, the heraldic animal of the city of Braunschweig , was chosen as the company's emblem . In 1952, the production of the first machine began, of which more than 25,000 units were sold. In the same year, the sister company NSM was founded as a production facility for its own jukeboxes. Production began in 1956 with the Fanfare 60 model . In addition to the NSM jukeboxes, Löwen-Automaten also imported and sold Seeburg jukeboxes from the USA .

In 1954 the construction of the current plant in Bingen began. Since July 2012 renamed the company as a lion Entertainment GmbH.

Löwen Entertainment was bought by the Novomatic Group in 2013 .
