description

Barbreck House has the characteristics of Georgian architecture . The central part of the front consists of ashlar stones and is set off at the edges with corner stones. Lattice windows run in three axes through the three-story building, with a two-winged entrance door framed by pillars embedded in the wall at the center of the ground floor. An ornate triangular pediment completes this part of Barbreck House. Segments with a window axis each connect symmetrically on both sides. These are plastered in the traditional Harling technique and the edges are also lifted off by corner stones. Above the ground floor, a detached decorative ribbon runs over the front. The building ends with a slate-covered hip roof . On the back there is a wing that also ends with a hipped roof. Blind walls are attached to the front on both sides. These are each decorated with three blind segment arches and are flush with the one-story outbuildings. These have arched windows, above which blind ox eyes can be found in the detached gable area . The outbuildings end with gable roofs .
