Bargyless
Bargylos ( Greek Βάργυλος ) is a figure in Greek mythology .
Bargylos was a friend and companion of Poseidon's son Bellerophon . After Bellerophon had conquered Pegasus and came to Caria on it , the winged horse killed the bargylos with a hoof kick. Out of grief over losing his friend, Bellerophon founded a town on the Carian coast and named it Bargylia . The adjoining sea was named after him and was called the Bargyliac Gulf. In an allusion to the myth, the coin portraits of the city showed Pegasus.
