Bari (condiments)

Bari (also known as Badi, Vadi, Badiyan, Vadiyan, Hindi बड़ी baṛi ) is an ingredient in Indian cuisine . Various spices , including fenugreek seeds , chili powder and urad dal, are made into a dough with mustard oil , which is then dried in small pieces in the sun, with or without prior frying, and stored until further use.
