Martin Rothgangel

Martin Rothgangel (born June 12, 1962 in Weiden in the Upper Palatinate ) is a German Protestant theologian .

Martin Rothgangel graduated from high school in 1982 and initially studied one semester of teaching in Regensburg (winter semester 1983/84) and studied Protestant theology in Erlangen from 1984 to 1990. From 1990 to 1998 he worked as a research assistant or as a research assistant. From 1993 to 1998 Rothgangel worked part-time as a religion teacher at the business school in Regensburg. In 1994 he received his doctorate from the University of Munich . In 1996 he completed his habilitation at the University of Regensburg . From 1996 to 1998 he was a substitute professor at the PH Erfurt . From 1998 to 2002 he taught as professor for religious education / evangelical theology at the PH Weingarten . From 2002 to 2010 he was Professor of Practical Theology / Religious Education at the University of Göttingen . Since 2010 he has been teaching as professor for religious education at the University of Vienna .

His main research interests include anti-Semitism research, theology and natural science, philosophy of science in religious education / theology, teaching research, as well as skills and educational standards.
