The Barom Monastery ( Tib . 'Ba' rom dgon pa ) is the founding monastery of the Barom Kagyu branch ( 'ba' rom bka ' ) founded by Barompa Darma Wangchug ( ' ba 'rom pa dar ma dbang phyug ) in the 12th century brgyud ) of the Kagyu school tradition of Tibetan Buddhism . It was founded in 1153. The monastery is located in today's large community (Chinese) Gulu of Nagqu (Nagchu) district in Tibet .

The monastery is on the list of monuments of the Tibet Autonomous Region .
