Baron Annaly is a hereditary British title of nobility awarded twice in the Peerage of Ireland and once in the Peerage of the United Kingdom .

Awards

For the first time on January 17, 1766 in the Peerage of Ireland the title Baron Annaly , of Tenelick in the County of Longford , was created for the Irish politician and lawyer John Gore . The title expired on his childless death on April 3, 1784.

In the second bestowal on September 23, 1789 in the Peerage of Ireland, the title Baron Annaly , of Tenelick in the County of Longford, for the Irish politician Henry Gore was newly created. He was the brother of the late Baron's first bestowal. He also left no heirs, so that the title expired on his death on June 5, 1793.

Most recently, on August 19, 1863, in the Peerage of the United Kingdom, the title Baron Annaly , of Annaly and Rathcline in the County of Longford, was bestowed on the liberal politician Henry White . Today's title holder has been his great-great-great-grandson Luke White as the 6th Baron since 1990 .
