Baron Brassey of Apethorpe

Baron Brassey of Apethorpe , of Apethorpe in the County of Northampton , is a hereditary British title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom .

The barons' family residence is The Manor House at Apethorpe in East Northamptonshire .

Award

The title was created on January 26, 1938 for the Conservative MP, Sir Henry Brassey, 1st Baronet . This had already been awarded the subordinate title Baronet , of Apethorpe in the County of Northampton on November 29, 1922 in the Baronetage of the United Kingdom .

Today's title holder has been his great-grandson Edward Brassey as the 4th Baron since 2015 .
