Baron Bruce of Annandale

Baron Bruce , of Annandale , was a hereditary British title in the Peerage of England .

Award

The title was created on June 24, 1295 for the Scotsman Robert de Brus , when King Edward I of England called him to the English Parliament via Writ of Summons .

On his death, his son Robert Bruce inherited him , who inherited the Scottish title of Earl of Carrick from his mother Marjorie, Countess of Carrick in 1292 , and became King of Scotland in 1306 .

When his son David II died in 1371, the title fell in Abeyance .
