Baron Fermanagh

Baron Fermanagh is a hereditary British title of nobility , created once each in the Peerage of Ireland and in the Peerage of the United Kingdom .

Awards

In the first bestowal, the title Baroness Fermanagh was created on June 13, 1792 in the Peerage of Ireland for Mary Verney . She was a granddaughter of Ralph Verney, 1st Earl Verney . Since she was unmarried and childless, her title expired on her death on November 15, 1810.

In the second bestowal on January 13, 1876 in the Peerage of the United Kingdom, the title Baron Fermanagh , of Lisnaskea in the County of Fermanagh , was bestowed on John Crichton, 3rd Earl Erne . He has already held the titles of 3rd Earl Erne , 3rd Viscount Erne and 4th Baron Erne belonging to the Peerage of Ireland .
