Baron Giffard , of Brimpsfield, was a hereditary British title in the Peerage of England .

Award

The title was created on June 24, 1295 for John Giffard when he was appointed to the royal parliament by Writ of Summons .

The title expired when his son, the second baron, was executed on March 16, 1322 for high treason and his title was revoked.

The ancestral seat of the barons was Brimpsfield Castle in Gloucestershire .
