Baron Gretton

Baron Gretton , of Stapleford in the County of Leicester , is a hereditary British title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom .

The family seat of the barons was formerly Stapleford Park near Melton Mowbray in Leicestershire and is now Somerby House in Somerby near Melton Mowbray.

Award

The title was created on January 27, 1944 for entrepreneur and former Conservative MP, John Gretton .

Today's title holder has been his great-grandson John Gretton, 4th Baron Gretton , since 1989 .
