John Gretton, 4th Baron Gretton

John Lysander Gretton, 4th Baron Gretton (born April 17, 1975 ) is a British peer and politician of the Conservative Party .

life and career

Gretton was born on April 17, 1975 to John Henrik Gretton, 3rd Baron Gretton (1941–1989), and Jennifer Ann Moore (* 1943). He has an older sister. Gretton attended Shrewsbury School . He later studied at the Royal Agricultural College in Cirencester , Gloucestershire . He lives in Somerby House, Somerby in Leicestershire .

At the 2010 shooting championships, the Really Wild of Gretton's estate organized the shooting program.

Gretton is currently not a member of the Hereditary Peerage Association .

Membership in the House of Lords

After his father's death in 1989, he inherited the title of Baron Gretton and the then associated seat in the House of Lords . He first took it on July 23, 1998. On October 15, 1999, he gave his inaugural address, which remained his only one.

He lost his seat through the House of Lords Act 1999 . He did not stand for election for any of the remaining seats.

He is not listed in the Register of Hereditary Peers , which lists the peers who are available for by-election.

family

Before 2008 he married Sarah Attard, the daughter of Freddy and Lyndy Attard. They have a son and a daughter.
