Greville Howard, Baron Howard of Rising

Greville Patrick Charles Howard, Baron Howard of Rising (born April 22, 1941 ) is a British Conservative politician.

He comes from the influential Howard family . He is the son of Lieutenant-Colonel Henry Redvers Greville Howard and Patience. He went to Eton College . From 1968 to 1970 he was Enoch Powell's private secretary . He was later a director of Keep Trust , Fortress Trust and, from 1993, Fortress Holdings.

On June 4, 2004, he was promoted to Life Peer as Baron Howard of Rising , of Castle Rising in the County of Norfolk .

He is the descendant of William d'Aubigny, 1st Earl of Arundel, the builder of Castle Rising Castle and he is the owner of the remains of the castle .

From 2003 he was a councilor in King's Lynn and West Norfolk Council .

Lord Howard was married three times. He first married Zoe Walker, daughter of Douglas Walker, in 1968. After divorcing in 1972, he married Mary Rose Chichester, daughter of Sir John Chichester, 11th Baronet, in 1978. After her death, he married Mary Cortland Culverwell the following year. He has two sons and a daughter by his third wife.
