Baron Lyveden
Baron Lyveden , of Lyveden in the County of Northampton , is a hereditary British title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom .
Award
The title was awarded to the liberal politician Robert Vernon on June 28, 1859 . In 1852 he was Secretary at War and from 1855 to 1858 President of the Board of Control for British India .
Today's title holder has been his great-great-great-grandson Jack Vernon as the 7th Baron since 1999 .
