Baron Milverton
Baron Milverton , of Lagos and of Clifton in the City of Bristol , is a hereditary British title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom .
Award
The title was created on October 10, 1947 for the colonial official Sir Arthur Richards . At the time, he was governor of Nigeria , having previously held the same position in Northern Borneo , Gambia , Fiji and Jamaica .
