Baron Moncreiff

Baron Moncreiff , of Tulliebole in the County of Kinross , is a hereditary British title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom .

Award

The title was created on January 9, 1874 for the jurist Sir James Moncreiff, 1st Baronet .

This had already been raised on May 23, 1871 in the Baronetage of the United Kingdom to Baronet , of Kilduff in the County of Kinross. When his older brother died on November 3, 1883, he also inherited the title of 11th Baronet, of Moncreiff in the County of Kinross, which had been awarded to one of his ancestors on April 22, 1626 in the Baronetage of Nova Scotia.

Today's title holder has been his great-great-grandson Rhoderick Moncreiff as 6th Baron since 2002 .
