Baron Pentland

Baron Pentland , of Lyth in the County of Caithness , was a hereditary British title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom .

The title was created on February 15, 1909 for the Scottish liberal politician John Sinclair . He was later colonial governor of Madras .

The title expired on the death of his son, the 2nd baron on February 14, 1984.
